Road rules and access conditions may change. Check official local sources, road conditions and your rental terms before travel.

Collection and distances

Fuerteventura Airport (FUE) is an important starting point, but rental providers have their own collection arrangements. Beach destinations can be spread out, so check distances before planning day trips.

Unpaved roads and the rental agreement

Some routes to remote beaches use unpaved surfaces. A rental vehicle, including one described as an SUV or 4x4, may be excluded from such roads. Check the supplier contract before attempting these routes.

Wind and sand

On windy days, exposed roads and vehicle doors need extra care. Be cautious of reduced visibility and follow any local weather warnings.

Respect protected sites

Park only where permitted and avoid fragile coastal tracks and protected landscapes.
